American Rococo Revival mahogany single-door armoire, second quarter 19th century, of the type crafted for the antebellum New Orleans market. A molded and beaded cornice over a mirrored single door, the base with a full-width drawer, raised on bun feet. Height 99 1/2", width 57 1/2", depth 24 5/8". The armoire exhibits the common design elements associated with New Orleanian Prudent Mallard, including the distinctive segmented twist turnings at the corners.
